Vibration motors are a type of motor that provides vibration by operating with electrical energy or pneumatic (air) energy. Vibration motors are used in all industrial machines where vibration energy is required; in food, feed, and flour factories; in the construction industry, in metro, highway, and hydroelectric power plant forced water tunnels; in steel, wooden, and concrete molds producing precast concrete elements; in mining; in crusher machines at asphalt plants and concrete batching plants; in sand dewatering machines; in recycling facilities; in flour, feed, cement, and similar steel silos; for screens, feeders, vibrating discharge channels, compaction, flow, conveying, separation, and placement processes.

Vibration motors, also known as vibro, vibro motor, vibration motor, vibrator motor, oscillation motor, or shaking motor, generate vibration energy through eccentric weights fixed to the rotor shaft as the rotor of the energized motor rotates.

Linear vibration

To obtain linear vibration with vibration motors, 2 vibration motors of the same brand, model (electrical, mechanical, and kilogram centrifugal force), and power must be mounted on the same plane and on the same axis. When the 2 vibration motors are operated in opposite directions, vibration energy is obtained in a forward-backward direction at a perpendicular angle to the vibration plate.

The centers of gravity of machines that will operate with linear vibration must be determined, and the vibration motors must be mounted at this center. Attention must be paid to the linear angle produced by the 2 vibration motors and the convergence angle on the force line passing through the machine’s center of gravity.

Circular vibration

To obtain circular vibration with vibration motors, a vibration motor should be selected according to the capacity of the vibrating machine and mounted at the system’s center of gravity. In this way, full 360-degree circular vibration energy is obtained.

Elliptical vibration

To obtain elliptical vibration with vibration motors, a vibration motor should be selected according to the capacity of the vibrating machine, and the mounting point must be positioned outside the center of gravity of the vibrating machine. In this way, elliptical vibration energy is obtained.
